The Buccaneer is the Pirate tank.

General Strategy

Throw your hook to pull enemies away from their friends, or to pull them away from YOUR friends!
Buccaneer works best in a team. Contend with the heavier Vikings and Knights while the rest of your team brings the ruckus.
Smash shields out of the way with your boarding axe and keep the combo going to become the pain train.
Buccaneer is very large target and can easily be picked off by ranged attacks, try to avoid clear sight lines.
Having a high health pool but little armor, he can be easily knocked out of a sustained fight.
