The Skirmisher is a light and fast class. In fact, he is the fastest class in the game but also the one with the lowest health and armor. He is equipped with a cutlass, six pistols and an explosive powderkeg. He relies on his speed and can easily outrun any class.

General Strategy

  • The Skirmisher is the fastest class in the game. Use your speed to quickly enter and exit melee combat
  • Be aware of your low health and armor. Nothing will one-hit kill you but a fully charged claymore swing will bring you quite close to it
  • Try to dodge as many strikes and projectiles as possible.
  • You can easily leave opponents alone and grab some health and armor while they chase you around the map
  • Choose your opponents
  • Don't play fair. You are a pirate

Weapon Specific Strategy

Cutlass

This is your main weapon. It's very quick and can kill light classes like Archer and Gestir quite fast. Killing heavier classes like Heavy Knight and Huscarl requires finesse and skill.

  • The Cutlass is very fast. Use this to your advantage and change your attack direction alot to confuse your enemies' defense
  • Your running speed often allows you to deal one or two quick strikes on your enemy and get out of his reach before he even notices
  • If you cannot escape enemies' strikes try to parry them. This will greatly reduce the damage taken
  • The Cutlass is quickly fully charged. Use quick chains of fully charged attacks against blocking opponents. This way you won't get perfect parried which is very important against large weapons (Bigaxe, Two-Handed Axe and Claymore) as one counterattack can seal your fate
  • Use fully charged attacks against other fully charged weapons in order to stun your enemy. Your quick charge often allows you to do this in time

Flintlock Pistols

Inaccurate but handy pistols.

  • Stand still for increased accuracy. Keep running after your shot.
  • The pistols won't do much damage against heavy armored opponents. Once their armor is gone they come in handy
  • Use your pistols while escaping or to finish of fleeing enemies. Not very useful for entering a combat

Powderkeg

The ace up the Skirmisher's sleeve. Massive aerial damage combined with good pushback.

  • It takes some time to light the keg and even longer until it finally explodes. While lighting you are completely defenseless
  • Hide, light your keg and wait until the fuse is about to go inside the keg. Then throw.
  • Always try to blow up group of enemies. Ideally a group of vikings fighting some knights.
  • Keep in mind that teammates nearby the explosion get stunned for a while
  • The keg is a good way to fill your special bar
  • Don't use your keg while in a melee fight!
  • The lava in arena instant explodes kegs that are thrown inside it. This is very useful in a 1vs1 as your opponent does not expect the keg to explode that soon
  • If your enemy holds up his shield try to throw the keg behind him or against a wall so it explodes behind him.
